2007 Information

-2007 Pinckney employees golf league @ Whispering Pines Golf Club,

-3 person scramble format...

-Monday league, (Tuesday, Wed or Thursday make up days only) 3:00-5:00 p.m. tee off times,

-Dates of competition....4/16,4/23,4/30,5/7,5/14,5/21,5/28...(of course 5/28 is a holiday but we are going to get the round in one of the other 3 days that week) June 4th is a fun night and banquet.

-It will cost each 3 man team $60.00 to join the league (send personal check or cash payable to Mark Hughes @ the high school before March 30 and please identify your team name).  Greens fees are $15.00 per week that also covers your cart.  Cart girls/boys appreciate a tip but you are on your own with that.

-....please e-mail the names of the 3 members of your team, along with a designated captain, and a team name if you have one. We'll use your team captain for various correspondence,

 

General rules and guidelines for all players in the league:

-Three person teams, gender unimportant,

-Scramble, everyone hits, play the best shot,

-Teams must use at least 2 tee shots from each member of the group during the 9 hole round,

-women use women's tees, men use men's tees,

-tee off window is 3:00p.m.-5:00 p.m. check in at the pro shop when you arrive, give them your name(or check it off yourself),no individual tee times may be necessary (tee off after 5:00 may still be OK)

-Scoring:

 

For showing up that week....2 points per team member

For each team's par...........1 point

For each team's birdie........2 points

For each team's eagle(or hole in 1)....3 points

Low team score each week.....5 points

2nd low score....................4 points

3rd low score....................3 points

4th low score...................2 points

5th low score..................1 point

(ties for low score will be awarded full points for that position)

 

Final scores for the season will be tallied at the end and the teams will be able to get prizes based on points totaled.

The web page will tally weekly totals so members can keep tabs,

Because we have such a large window period of tee off times there may be days when other golfers play between our teams,

If you have a team member absent, the team can use a substitute to fill in.

We will be playing the front or back nine holes depending on the week....when you register in the clubhouse they will tell you,

Remember to turn in your scorecard the night that you play to the pro shop. Be sure to list the player’s names that were there and your team score per hole.
